Boring Waste of Talent
I can play and sing better than Shovels and Rope. Blackberry Smoke much improved over past 3 years. Susan’s voice is amazing! Derek’s playing *can* be (but very limited in his breakout solos at that show). No way “Wheels Of Soul?” But they have no good original sings, and the ones they covered were Old (Joe Cocker twice, Dylan, others), slow to midtempo and boring. I almost left. They badly need a new Producer or something. And 2 drummers, which delivered the biggest yawn of a solo I’ve ever seen. Didn’t need the 3 horns either. Huge waste of huge talent.
